Apax Partners announces the sale of its investment in Nelite, the IT consulting, integration and facilities management group, to Groupe Magellan-Exakis.

Co-founded in 2007 by Arnaud Berrebi and Maxence Censier, Nelite is primarily an expert in Microsoft Cloud and Cyber Security infrastructure technologies. The company positions itself in France as the partner of choice for Microsoft infrastructure technologies. Recognized for its high level of expertise in digital transformation, virtualisation, mobility, cyber-security, data centres and collaborative solutions, Nelite has numerous Microsoft Gold Partner certifications.

Since Apax Partners Development invested in the company in 2016, Nelite’s growth strategy has been focused on two specific areas: organic and international growth. The company expects to generate €22 million in revenues this year.

Organic growth
Nelite has won a number of mandates, including two from Alstom and Saint Gobain. These landmark deals, coupled with strong growth in the cloud and cyber-security market, allowed the company to expand very rapidly through organic growth and to open two offices in Toulouse and Lille.

In 2018, Nelite generated 15% of its revenues internationally. The company now has offices in Morocco and Bulgaria. It received international recognition when it was named a “Security and Compliance Partner of the Year” Finalist at the 2018 Worldwide Microsoft Partners Conference.

Magellan-Exakis, the leading Microsoft partner in France, is aiming to position itself as the European leader in Microsoft technologies integration and development, thanks in particular to the Nelite merger.

Arnaud Berrebi, Chairman of Nelite, said: “Apax Partners Development has been an active partner and has demonstrated a real knowledge of the challenges and specific nature of our business. Maxence Censier and I have been very pleased with this partnership and the confidence they have shown in us for more than two years. Our merger with the Magellan-Exakis group will allow us to become the leading Microsoft systems integrator partner in France, with more than 500 dedicated consultantexperts, and to pursue our ambitious growth strategy through both organic growth and

Olivier Le Gall, Partner at Apax Partners Development, added: “The Nelite founders and teams have done a remarkable job managing the group’s significant growth, while continuing to develop new activities (application development, BI, artificial intelligence). We are thrilled with the merger with Magellan-Exakis, which will allow Nelite to accelerate its expansion and strengthen its leadership in Microsoft Cloud technologies.”
