| Apax Partners has appointed Bernard Bourigeaud as a Senior Advisor (07/10/2008 11:50) Paris, 30 September 2008 – Bernard Bourigeaud, founder and former Chairman and CEO of Atos Origin, has joined Apax Partners SA as a Senior Advisor.
Bernard Bourigeaud will bring his entrepreneurial expertise and experience to Apax Partners' Paris teams. He will contribute to the development of Apax's portfolio of companies in Europe, in the information technology sector as well as in Apax's other sectors of specialisation.

Bernard Bourigeaud began his career with the French bank CIC and later Price Waterhouse. He then spent seven years with Continental Grain, carrying out various general management assignments in Europe.
In 1980, he took over management of the consulting business of Deloitte Haskins and Sells France and became president three years later.
In June 1991, he joined the IT company Axime, becoming president six months later. This was the starting point for the series of acquisitions that would lead to the creation of the Atos Origin group, with Bernard Bourigeaud at the helm as Chairman and CEO: the acquisition of Sligos in 1996, of Origin (the IT branch of Philips) in 2000, of KPMG Consulting in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands in 2002, of SchlumbergerSema in January 2004 and of Banksys-BCC in Belgium in 2006.
Chairman and CEO of Atos Origin until October 2007, Bernard Bourigeaud currently serves as Chairman of BJB Consulting, a CEO-to-CEO consultancy firm.
He also sits on the boards of the Canadian firm CGI and CEPS (Centre d'Etude et de Prospective Stratégique, an independent think tank based in France). He is a member of the National Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors (CNCCEF) and of the HEC School of Management's International Advisory Board.
Bernard Bourigeaud is Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.
