Paris, 4 January 2009 – The partners: Maurice Tchenio, Eddie Misrahi, Martine Clavel, Monique Cohen, Hervé Descazeaux, Patrick de Giovanni, Bertrand Pivin, Gilles Rigal, Claude Rosevègue, and the entire team at Apax Partners are deeply grieved to announce the accidental death of Jean-Louis Rambaud on 1 January 2010. He was 45 years old.

Jean-Louis was Head of our Retail & Consumer Group and as such he led several successful investments. A 1987 graduate of HEC business school, Jean-Louis began his career at Citibank before joining Apax in 1991.

Apart from his professional achievements, Jean-Louis will be remembered for his sense of friendship, his energy and his “joie de vivre”.

The entire team at Apax Partners offers its deepest sympathies to his wife Isabelle and his four children.
