Patrick de GIOVANNI Partner

Patrick de Giovanni joined Apax Partners in 1983, when the first fund was raised. He has invested principally in industrial and business services companies and has been involved in the full range of operations (venture capital, development capital and leveraged buy-outs).

Patrick started his career as an engineering consultant at Cofror, a French consulting firm specialising in management information systems, followed by four years as a Controller at the Neiman Group, a car parts manufacturer. After three years in the industrial division of Société Générale, he joined forces in 1980 with a fellow entrepreneur to turn around Criss, an industrial valve group. He is a past Chairman of the French Venture Capital Association (AFIC).

Patrick de Giovanni graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique.
